Skin Nuvo has been fined $22,000 for false advertising. The complaint filed in Superior Court says the company’s ads falsely claim that laser skin treatments are painless, with permanent results. In fact the treatment doesn’t remove hair permanently … and sometime more than one treatment is needed to achieve long-term hair reduction and slow regrowth. Skin Nuvo, a fast-growing Nevada company expanding in West Coast malls, agreed to change its advertising and pay the fine, while not admitting to any wrongdoing.
