Corti Brothers Finishing Clean-up
The owner of Corti Brothers hopes to reopen his grocery store Tuesday. As Steve Milne reports, workers spent all-day Monday cleaning up the Sacramento store after Sunday’s intense thunderstorm caused a section of the roof to collapse.

With all of the water out of the store, Darrel Corti says the main concern now is mold. Workers placed small electric fans throughout the store to stop it. Those are fans to actually dehumidify everything, otherwise mold starts to grow and what this does is it’s a company that comes in and does the humidity cleanup then we have to clean the floors again. The weight of the water from Sunday’s heavy downpour caused part of the store’s back roof to cave in. I’ve lived in Sacramento for 61 years. I have never seen it hail in Sacramento like it hailed yesterday and there was a lot of water that came down and what gave way was one of the supports of the roof of the back end of the store. About 15 people were in the Folsom Boulevard store when the roof collapsed but no one was hurt. Damage is estimated at 500-thousand dollars. Steve Milne - KXJZ news.
