Geysers Fire Contained
It took a half a day longer than expected, but the so-called Geysers wildfire in the California wine country just north of San Francisco, is totally contained.

After five days, the blaze that destroyed four homes, forced evacuations, and threatened vineyards and power lines, was declared fully contained last night, about 12 hours later than predicted. Officials attributed the delay to unfavorable weather conditions. Department of Forestry and Fire Protection spokeswoman, Linda Galvan says some of the 26-hundred firefighters who battled the nearly 13-thousand acre blaze would remain for some mob up work. GALVAN :05—That’s putting out all those spots in the interior of the fire that are burning. Some firefighters have been dispatched to new assignments, while others are headed back to their respective stations. The cost of the Geysers wildfire is just over eight million dollars.
