BRENNAN :07—We’re going to build that this fall and have it ready for the start of the college season in February of 2005. Stockton owns and operates Billy Hebert Field. The city is already looking for new tenants to recoup the revenue lost by the departure of the Ports and U-O-P. Deputy City Manager Johnny Ford says softball and Little League teams are possible options even though they would have to adjust the playing area. FORD :07—You could move the fencing in. Because of the length of the bases in you’re going to have to compact that facility. Maintenance alone on the field costs the city about 200-thousand dollars a year. Bob Hensley KXJZ News.
