O'Connell Gives 10 Tips for Parents
California’s Superintendent of Public Instruction is offering back-to-school tips for parents, teachers, and students.

State Schools Superintendent Jack O’Connell’s ten tips were focused primarily on parents. Speaking at a Sacramento elementary school, O’Connell said reading to and with kids is the most important thing a parent can do, followed by everyday student use of writing and math skills. O’Connell said at-home study habits should mirror the school environment.
