Another 700 firefighters arrived yesterday at the so-called Geysers Fire in the wine country of Sonoma County. The number of fire personnel on the scene now totals over 26-hundred. Department of Forestry and Fire Protection Spokeswoman, Linda Galvan says the high temperatures and rugged terrain have taken a toll on firefighters since the blaze broke out last Friday. GALVAN :06—We’ve had a pretty good knee injury. We’ve had a couple of ankles. I know there’s been one eye injury. The fire has also resulted in property damage. Four homes, some out buildings and a dozen vehicles have been destroyed. Firefighters are working to keep the flames away from over one hundred homes, some celebrated vineyards and power lines that supply electricity to residents throughout northern California. The cause has not been determined. Bob Hensley KXJZ News.
