(NAT SOUND) Along the Midway, crews are setting up rides and booths and washing off dusty carnival tents. Fair General Manager Norb Bartosik says it’s been a hectic week. Lots of new things coming in and trying to tweak things and move stuff here and there and try to make it work so that’s what we’ve been doing the last couple of days till we get ready to open. Bartosik says fairgoers will get a blend of blend of entertainment, culture and education. The focus of the fair of course is trying to mirror the community that allows people to come out and have a good time and educate themselves and see things that they normally wouldn’t see. U-S Agriculture Secretary Ann Veneman is scheduled to appear at today’s opening ceremonies. Some of the new features at this year’s fair include a rollercoaster with individual spinning cars and a baseball exhibit. A Million people are expected to attend the fair with runs through Labor Day. Steve Milne - KXJZ news.
