New Development North of Airport
Open land just north of Sacramento International airport is being groomed for new development.

In June, Lennar Corporation asked Sutter County supervisors for a November ballot measure. It would see if voters would back its plan to develop twenty seven hundred acres of new homes and industrial buildings. But developer Angelo Tsakopoulos and the developers of the Plumas Lake residential project in Yuba County, have thrown their weight into the effort. Ballot language released this week by Sutter County covers a much larger area -- seventy five hundred acres, which includes parcels controlled by Tsakopoulos and the Plumas Lake builders. If all the proposed business parks, schools, and housing are approved it would be enough room for thirty nine thousand people. For the Business Journal, this is Mark Larson
