Jenny O'Mara

Jenny O'Mara began her radio career in college, at KCSN at California State University Northridge. While finishing up her degrees, O'Mara also worked as a newswriter for KNX, the CBS owned and operated radio station in Los Angeles. From there, she went on to general assignment reporting and anchoring newscasts at stations in Vincennes, Indiana and Las Vegas, Nevada.
She moved to Sacramento in 1997 and worked as a general assignment reporter at KFBK, but was always intrigued by the goings-on at the state Capitol. She began working for Capital Public Radio in 2000 as a Capitol Reporter, a job she truly enjoys.
O'Mara earned bachelors degrees in Speech Communication and Journalism from Cal State Northridge. She is originally from Southern California.
