Jason Buddell

Traffic Assistant

Jason Buddell has been with Capital Public Radio for almost 3 years, working in the Traffic Department as a Radio Traffic Associate. He was first exposed to live radio broadcasting while attending University of the Pacific in Stockton in the early 1990s, and has since held a fascination with public radio and the amazing potential it has to affect positive change in the community.

After working behind the scenes in Traffic for his first year, Buddell added some on-air duties to his position, including some announcing and fundraising work.

Buddell grew up in a little slice of paradise known as San Simeon, on the central coast of California. He grew up in a historic general store (built in 1852) where he helped his parents run the family business until the mid-1990s. He then moved to Cambria, Calif. where he managed a non-profit organization and art gallery. Later he worked for and eventually managed the second-largest background-talent casting service in California. In the fall of 2004 Buddell moved to mid-town in Sacramento to take his current position with Capital Public Radio. His interests include current affairs, news, politics, economics, history, music, science, and technology.
