Arla Gibson
Director of Development
Arla Gibson, Director of Development, is a quality-oriented
professional with more than twenty-five years of leadership and
business management experience in community-based organizations and
the private sector. Ms. Gibson has extensive experience developing
resources for the nonprofit community including capital campaigns,
collaborative projects, grant writing, grant administration, and
fund accounting. Prior to join Capital Public Radio, Ms. Gibson was
the Executive Director of PEACE for Families for more than 12
years. PEACE is a nonprofit organization providing domestic
violence and rape crisis victim services in Placer County,
California. Her experience there included a successful $2.5 million
Capital Campaign for a new domestic violence shelter.
Ms. Gibson received her B.A. degree in Public Administration
from the University of San Francisco, and has successfully
completed numerous additional training programs in board
development, planned giving, leadership and nonprofit management.
Ms. Gibson loves to kayak, entertain at home, and sings in a
Celtic/folk band.
