Cable giant Comcast Corp. has laid off 35 employees in the Sacramento area in order to streamline operations. That includes most of the senior executives at its regional office in Natomas. Most of the affected employees were in administration and management. Only a few jobs remain at the Central California regional office. An office in the Bay Area will take on that workload. Those who were laid off were offered a severance package. Comcast employs about 2,100 employees in the Central Valley, including offices in Fresno and Stockton. The company has about 1.100 people in the three offices in Natomas.
