How ‘bout a nice four-way scrum?  That’s what two state agencies, the city and the developer are stuck in – and at least two pieces of land in the Railyards are involved.  So there’s a complex, four-party land swap in the works, and the State Lands Commission gave its approval on Monday.
 
But the developer, Thomas Enterprises, isn’t “all aboard.”  It wants to work out a crucial part of the land swap before it signs off on the whole thing.  That part is the fate of two buildings where the State Parks department wants to build a Railroad museum.
 
The overall land swap doesn’t have to get done before the city council approves the Railyards.  But assistant city manager Ray Kerridge says he does want to get the museum debate resolved – before he recommends a vote.
 
The city council is scheduled to take that vote one week from tonight.
