Contemporary classical composer and Nevada county resident Howard Hersh has just completed two new works which are receiving their premieres in Northern California. Hersh talks about the paperless approach he took to create them.

The Sacramento Chamber Music Society performs "Flex" for Woodwind Quintet by Howard Hersh on Saturday, October 27th at 7:30 p.m. at the Bet Haverim Synagogue in Davis; and on Sunday, October 28th at 7:30 p.m. at the CSUS Music Building in Sacramento. 

"Let Evening Come" for choir will be performed by Volti, under the direction of Robert Geary, with additional works by Stacy Garrop, Richard Festinger, Wayne Peterson, Alan Fletcher, and Morten Lauridsen on Saturday, November 3rd at 8 p.m. at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Berkeley and on Sunday, November 4th at 4 p.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in San Francisco.
