Sacramento officials are sponsoring several events to help at-risk young people get a job.
City Council member Bonnie Pannell says the job fairs will target residents ages 16 to 24:
They’re going to school part-time, and they need a job to occupy their time the rest of the time, so they don’t get into trouble.
A final giant job symposium is scheduled for May, featuring employers from around the Sacramento region.
The job fairs were organized after council members talked to teens in their districts and found the number one concern was lack of employment.
