The No on Arena campaign says the document proves the city and county are secretly spending taxpayer money by giving the Kings extra parking revenue and more money to build the Arena.
Assemblyman Dave Jones is with the No on Arena campaign:
They didn’t want the public to understand that this bad deal keeps getting worse and worse and worse.
But Supervisor Roger Dickinson, who is part of the negotiating team, says there is little in the document that isn’t already publicized on the county’s web site.
He cited the cost of arena construction as one example:
The 370 to 450 million dollar estimate are still the estimates based on what we think the cost of construction and inflation would mean here in Sacramento.
Dickinson says negotiations between the city, the county and the Maloofs continue, but he doubts there will be a final document before election day.
