There’s only one character in Katie Rubin’s show.  But that person expresses herself through many different voices, like these.

(Katie)

It’s not a case of multiple personalities, because each of these people is Katie. It’s more a matter of which mask she wears as she confronts, and ultimately tames, her urge to overindulge. This show is a comedy that nonetheless deals seriously with issues of addiction and recovery. It’s sometimes painfully funny, features quite a few words we can’t say on the radio, and it’s likely to appeal to anyone who’s been down this sort of road in life, alone, or with a loved one.

Insides OUT!  runs through April 30th at Sacramento Theatre Company
