The March 10 June ballot deadline is looming…and as Governor Schwarzenegger puts it:

“If you’re lucky, you can do it for the June ballot, but both parties agree that we should, you know, kind of not think about that so much, but think about doing it well.”

The Governor and top legislative leaders have been meeting to address key issues like housing and transit, which are priorities for the Democrats – and reducing traffic congestion – a cornerstone of the Governor’s plan.  Assembly speaker Fabian Nunez says a recent meeting with Schwarzenegger was “more than fruitful,” but he’d still like to see the education issue fast-tracked separately:

“You always benefit from having everything on one ballot, but I don’t want anything to slow down education for example.

The Governor says he’s looking for a total package.
