The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded in Sacramento now stands at a-dollar-95 ($1.95). That's a 15 cent increase from last month. Sean Comey with Triple-A says don’t be surprised if it goes up to 2-dollars. Now we’re definitely approaching that in the Sacramento area and since prices seem to be rising on an almost daily basis lately we may cross that 2-dollar a gallon threshold in Sacramento very soon. Comey says one reason prices are climbing higher is that California refineries are starting to switch to a more expensive summer blend of fuel. Also the price of crude oil continues to be extremely high. The most expensive average gas price in the state is in Eureka, where regular unleaded costs two-dollars-and-27-cents per gallon.
