Among other things, the new accord will lead to both institutions collaborating on new programs in nursing, business and culinary arts. I think those conversations have been going on for some time but this agreement really says we’re going to talk even more in earnest in some areas like nursing and culinary arts. Sacramento State President Alexander Gonzalez says talks are already underway to come up with a more seamless pathway for students transferring from the Los Rios District to the university. So it’ll be a smooth transition to get into the campus and finish their major and go off and do what they want to do.
