Back in the days when McClellan Park was a bustling air force base, it operated its own golf course on 82 acres. It’s an old fashioned course, and only nine holes. The partnership now running McClellan Park can’t get enough people to play the course to pay the bills. Now they’re negotiating with Lennar Communities, a national homebuilder and land developer, to sell the property. It would hold about 320 new homes, ranging up to $465,000 on today’s market. The project is moving through Sacramento County for the needed approvals. In a Sacramento housing market where there aren’t enough new homes to meet demand, it’s likely to sell well.
