Chef Billy McCullough owns the Dragonfly restaurant in Downtown Truckee. He says business was bad this past weekend during the brunt of the storm. This weekend it was a total wash. But you learn to ride the roller-coaster around here. McCullough says even though they occasionally have to hunker down and close up shop when the weather gets bad, all the snow will ultimately bring more tourists to the area. You almost have to think of it as money in the bank for the future. It’ll keep our season going longer, it will make this coming up weekend strong, President’s Weekend strong, all those things. McCullough says he’s optimistic that 2005 will be a strong year for sierra businesses. Steve Milne - KXJZ news.
