Utah Phillips Musician Utah Phillips is being honored at the FAR (Folk Alliance Region) West Annual Conference this weekend in Rancho Cordova. Today on Insight, you’ll meet the folk legend and hear him play live in our studio.
The FAR-West Annual Conference will be held Friday, Nov. 17, through Sunday, Nov. 19, at the Sacramento Marriott Rancho Cordova, 11211 Point East Dr., Sacramento. Utah Phillips is scheduled to perform at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18. Information: (800) 228-9290.
"The Peculiar and Sudden Nearness of the Moon" The world premiere of a play about racial identity is playing at the Sacramento Theatre Company. You'll hear from the author and director; two of the actors perform a scene.
